Humble beginings

Back in the late 80's, Robert Snr couldn't hold down his passion for Motorsport any longer. Having spend most of the 70's as codriver for David Goose in several Escort rally cars, Robert decided that he needed to get back to competition. He bought what might be considered to be an unlikely car for going racing in, the MG Maestro, but it turned out to be a fantastic grounding for things to come. From some very successful years in the MG, winning numerous races and competing in some high profile rallies, the team moved on to Rover GTI. This is where Robert Jr had his first taste of competitive Motorsport. At only 17 years old, it was a baptism of fire, with the usual tin top nudging and rubbing giving Robert a solid grounding fron which to progress. A Proton Coupe came next which was to be Roberts first full year competing. Against some very tough competitors, Robert had several podium finishes. The car, although great fun to drive, was nothing compared to what came next.

I'd like to say a huge thank you to my dad for making it possible to compete at such a high level in a fantastic car. Also, thank you to our sponsors for all their help and support over the years.
